Going Home Staying Home

Going Home Staying Home » Intervention Program

The Going Home Staying Home (GHSH) Program is an early intervention program that supports young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged between 14 and 24 years in the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Port Stepsons communities who are currently homeless or at risk of homelessness. The program endeavours to keep families together by resolving issues leading to homelessness. Where this is not a viable option, we provide support in accessing and maintaining crisis and short term or long-term accommodation to assist the young person to live independently. Referrals can be made by self-referral, community and services.
