I have worked in the child protection sector for the past 12 years and am passionate about supporting children, young people, families, and the professionals who work alongside them. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to creating positive outcomes by advocating for safe, ethical, and person-centred practice.
In my current role as People, Culture & Safety Manager, I oversee both the People & Culture and Nawuwa (Investigations & Complaints) teams, leading human resources, employee relations, workplace culture, and the organisation’s safeguarding function, including investigations and complaints. I enjoy supporting employees to grow both personally and professionally while fostering a positive, inclusive, and culturally safe workplace.
I pride myself on being approachable, resilient, and genuine. I believe that building strong relationships through empathy, honesty, and open communication is the foundation for achieving meaningful outcomes. My experience in workplace investigations and safeguarding has equipped me with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling me to manage complex and sensitive matters with fairness, professionalism, and compassion.
Having worked at Wandiyali for the past six years, I have developed a strong understanding of culturally safe practice and the importance of working collaboratively with Aboriginal children, families, carers, communities, and stakeholders. This experience has strengthened my commitment to empowering others, fostering inclusive workplaces, and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children, young people, families, employees, and community.
I am driven by a genuine passion for making a positive difference and continue to strive for outcomes that are respectful, ethical, and centred on the wellbeing of others.
