Wandiyali ATSI Indigenous Classic 2020

 


The Wandiyali ATSI Indigenous Classic, the richest Indigenous surf contest in Australia will take place at Merewether Beach on Saturday 29th February and Sunday 1st March 2019. The event is set to again offer Australia’s biggest purse for an Indigenous surfing competition, offering a total prize money pool of $22,000 for male and female Indigenous surfers. This is the richest indigenous surfing contest in world and is an important part of the Surfest festival.
The contest is open to Open men, women, juniors and longboarder surfers. Indigenous surfers from all over Australia travel to Newcastle for two days of cultural and sporting celebrations and is an event not to be missed as the standard of surfing is exceptional.
The 2020 Wandiyali Indigenous Classic will present to a wide audience, the best Indigenous surfers in the land as well as plenty of on and off shore activities.
