Turoolba Means “Place of Healing” in Awabakal Language

Turoolba Provides Culturally responsive therapeutic services using a holistic approach the Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Model that involves the interconnectedness between mind, body, emotional, family, spirituality, community, Country, and Culture.

Turoolba aims to provide Culturally appropriate allied health services, increase connection to community and Culture and reduce the impacts of trauma.

Over the decades, Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations have been recognised as providing better health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people than mainstream health services (Panaretto et al., 2014). This demonstrates the importance of holistic and Culturally safe services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
