Wandiyali Indigenous Classic 2018 Surfest

Wandiyali Indigenous Classic 2018, a Surfest event, is going to be the biggest and best yet!

For the first time since hosting the event, the competition will be held over the course of a weekend, which means - MORE! More competitors, more spectators, more community participation, more activities and more cultural showcasing!!

The weekend of activities commences at 8am Saturday 17 February with the 'Welcoming Ceremony'. The 'Welcoming Ceremony' will include an Acknowledgement to Country, dance performances, music performances and a special smoking ceremony for the competitors.

The action then kicks off, on and off-shore, with Women's and Junior heats, the Inaugural Wandiyali Indigenous Classic Youth Surfing Clinic and the Cultural Gathering (Jefferson Park).

The Saturday will be action packed with something for all the family!

The Sunday is not to be missed, with the Men's heats, finals and completion of the Youth Surfing Clinic with a presentation to participants on the Main Stage from 3pm, followed by the main presentation to the Wandiyali Classic Finalists (approximately 5pm).

This is an event not to be missed! Make sure you mark it in your calendar so you don't miss out!!
